Business and Professional Women of River City

BPW State Conference:  Bonny Manning, Leslie Mann, Ashley Duncan, Debrah Pierce

Ashley N. Duncan, a Louisville, KY native, competed in the 2014-2015 Local, Regional and State Aspiring Professional competition.  She won at each level and was able to both educate and advocate for an issue that is near to her heart, Human Trafficking.

Each year the KY Federation of Business and Professional Women choose four questions that impact the issues related to the overall mission of BPW.  These questions are included in the applicant package and each candidate selects the topic she wants to speak on.

During this process Ashley was given the opportunity to travel to historic Springfield and Berea, Kentucky for the competitions.  Meeting women who are entrepreneurs, Executives, Teachers, Politicians and mothers was the most rewarding part.  Ashley learned more and more why this organization has been thriving so many years.

Women who are interested in both learning about the wonderful work of BPW and experiencing what it’s like to grow personally and professionally this is something you should definitely apply for.  Good luck!
