BPW/River City Scholarship Application

Here are the guidelines:
  • Women 25 years of age or older by July 1, 2008
  • US citizen and resident of the Louisville, Kentucky metropolitan area
  • Evidence of acceptance into an accredited program
  • Need financial assistance to complete education or upgrade skills
  • Applicants need not be BPW members or require endorsement of a BPW affiliate

April 9, 2008 Lunch at the Jefferson Club
Ann L. Coffey is the President and CEO of Women 4 Women and the executive director of The Fund 4 Women and Girls housed at The Community Foundation of Louisville. She is responsible for the overall operation of Women 4 Women, including strategic planning, administration, fundraising and marketing. Coffey also provides staff leadership for The Fund's $10 million endowment appeal.

Prior to joining W4W, Coffey served as deputy commissioner and director of integrated marketing for the Kentucky Department of Travel. She was instrumental in the development of the branding strategy for its national marketing campaign, "Kentucky. It's That Friendly." Previously, Coffey was a founding partner of Z Marketing Company and served as a senior account manager at Doe Anderson Advertising and Public Relations.

In addition to numerous awards received throughout her career, Coffey was a Fellow in the distinguished National Fellowship Leadership Program of the Kellogg Foundation from 1995 to 1998. The program provides emerging leaders with the leadership skills needed to address societal and community issues.
